Style Inspiration

All images are from The Sartorialist.

Love her outfit. It looks laid back and comfy! I can see myself wearing this ensemble.
Wish I had some colorful shoes as these.

Love this! I already have a similar ensemble (only, my shorts are a denim version).

Currently infatuated with this kind of styling.
I'm adding this one for body inspiration. She's not thin which is what I like and she looks fit and healthy!

Geek Chic

Just how many pairs of eyeglasses do you need?

I couldn't resist my hoarding/collecting habit when I saw these eyeglasses from Whipped Tee Couture. They're reasonably priced too! That's why I got three pairs. I'm wearing some of my older frames though for comparison. I'm not quite sure if the clear frames suits me though. My Mister doesn't like it.

Please don't mind the cat ears. Its the only headband at home that doesn't give me a headache. Anywhoots, I now have given myself more things to spend on, which in this case, is putting graded glasses on the eyeglasses. I actually use them y'know. Its time to put my ol' Ted Baker pair (my first one!) to some rest as its all scratchy and it's kinda getting hard to see real clear. I'm thinking of selling some of my old pairs though, like the Calvin Klein pair I bought when I thought I lost the Ted Baker (which, it turned out, was just misplaced in my room!)

My "collection" isn't complete though. I'm still looking for the cat-eye frames (bejeweled, the better) and a red one.

Hay. Gastos ko talaga!

Bag Love

I've got a couple of bags to upload this coming Sunday at the shop. Most of my ukay money went to these babies. I would keep them all but I already have a lot of things at home. Besides, I love sharing my wonderful finds.

This weaved rucksack is a favorite. Its so cute, its like a basket!
I also have two Polo Ralph Lauren plaid messenger bags up for bid. They're kind of identical but the one on the left is bigger (and a little heavy because of the leather).

Finally, I have this nice studded leather shoulder bag from Reiss.

If you're interested in buying these, check out my shop for this Sunday's uploads at 8pm! I'm also uploading cardigans, jackets, and some preloved stuff.

Old School Photobooth

Who doesn't like photobooths? They're really fun and camwhores would hog the place if they could. Of course I'd like a photobooth on my wedding. It serves a double purpose. One is it serves as a wedding souvenir. Problem is, I want this kind of photobooth photo:

By eatmydesign nicholas rhodes
By tweexcore Laura Yan
By eatmydesign nicholas rhodes
and not this:

the only problem with a real photobooth is you can't request a layout where you can put your name or other info at the bottom (or maybe we can? hmm..maybe I should ask around). Or, maybe I can ask these instant photo services if they can do the style I want. As in bookmark style not post card layout. Ayoko sya.

Wedding Planning Is Hard

So, my fiance and I are doing the big shebang next year and I don't know where to start. I've gathered inspirational photos for references but there's so many choices that its so overwhelming its giving me a  headache! It's really, really hard to plan a big event ON YOUR OWN. I do have a coordinator plus my fiance's family have been very helpful but we kinda want different things.

I wanted it to be simple, sweet, and intimate. They, on the other hand, want something grand. I pondered about it and finally decided to be a little fancy.

It's hard to choose on "the one" dress, or ring design, or whatever else. But for the gown, I think I'm going with this:

gown by Irna La Perle
Its very muslim but romantic and vintage at the same time. Plus, it doesn't use much lace so that'll cost me less :P I'm thinking of taking off the bolero after the ceremony and I'm thinking of looking into another headpiece design. Maybe I'll opt for a headband or something so I can have my hair styled.

Speaking of weddings, Liz of Project Vanity has a perfect contest for me!!! I saw it this morning I think (or was it yesterday?) but didn't pay much attention until I read it again tonight and saw that its a contest for brides to be. Of course I want to join! hehe It'll also save me the money I'm supposed to spend before my wedding on the same things I planned on doing! So I really hope I win this :D :D :D

Here's the contest poster:

August Ukay Haul

This is what my "stock room" looks like right now. That's all of my stuff for the shop. The consigned items are not yet included as I've yet to assemble the hanger rack for those.

still a mess but I'll be fixing it according to color

There's so many!! I hope I can sell all of it! :D
Some of the dresses
pretty tops
I also bought another batch of jackets for the shop but when I brought it at my aunt's place, they almost got everything. Hehe. I got my money back right away! Here's what you missed:

And this is my favorite from the lot:

I also tried taking photos of some of the items to see how they look like when actually worn by a person. I would've modeled the others but its so hot in the house! I don't want to be sweating on the already washed and clean clothes.

love this look by the way. also reminds me of Where's Waldo :P

I also stumbled upon this black tank maxi dress that hugs your body. I love this! Its so rockstar! I'll be wearing this to gigs definitely!

red floral vintage top - Playground Love Shop

So many lovely finds! I just love shopping for my online shop. :) I get to keep the leftovers (those who didn't sell for over 2-3 months).
Since I skipped out on yoga class this morning (which I felt guilty for. It was raining and I thought I might get stuck out), I went ukay shopping nearby. Didn't buy a lot since I'm saving the money for my number 1 favorite thrift place. Hehe. That's where I get most of the dresses. I'm still waiting for them to go on a 30-40% discount. Lesser clothes but there's still a lot of good stuff.
